Considering
all that is packed in to it, Tenerife is actually quite a small
place. You could easily drive round the whole island in a day,
stopping for lunch and at viewpoints along the way.
Still, why would you want to do that? It is much more fun to select
a destination and spend some time exploring than sitting in a car
all day. Here are some locations you might want to visit while
on holiday.
Golf
Del Sur: Many of the holiday apartments and villas on our
website are in the Golf Del Sur area or nearby Amarilla Golf and
Country Club. Our Whistlestop Tour of Golf Del Sur will
give you a good idea
what
to expect.
Amarilla:
A favourite with golfers or those who just want to chill out
and relax, Amarilla is a quiet and a tranquil
setting for your next holiday in Tenerife.
Los
Cristianos and Las Americas: These two resorts blend into each other so
well that it is hard to tell where one stops and the other begins.
With long sandy beaches, exciting nightlife, great restaurants,
bars, shopping and themeparks, there is always something to do.
El Pico
de Teide:
Permits are needed to scale to the very top of Teide but if you
just want to take a drive, you´ll find the lunar landscape quite
dramatic.
Los
Gigantes:
About 20 miles north west of Los Cristianos is Los Gigantes,
named for it´s towering cliffs. With a lot of bars, restaurants
and large marina, a Lido and a small, volcanic sand beach,
this pretty resort is worth a visit. At the edge of the marina
you´ll find a school of very large fish. Kids love throwing
bread and watching these big guys snap it up.
Los
Abrigos:
Close to Golf Del Sur and Amarilla Bay is Los Abrigos, a typical
Canarian fishing village. It has a number of bars and restuarants
where you can enjoy the freshest catch of the day and a quiet
charm that makes it a very relaxing day out.
