Los Cristianos and Las Americas
Just 20 minutes drive from the South airport, Las Americas and Los Cristianos are the most popular resorts in Tenerife and this is reflected in the sheer number of hotels, bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and nightclubs.
The main strip called "Veronicas" in Las Americas is famous for churning out dance music till the early hours of the morning.
For some people, this alone is enough to put them off. However, for fun, activity, beaches, bars and everything on your door step, you simply cannot beat these resorts.
By far the busiest and liveliest of Tenerife's resorts are those of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.
These days the two are virtually merged together, although Los Cristianos with it's picturesque harbour is the slightly more reserved of the two.
This is the beautiful Las Vistas beach at the sea front in Los Cristianos. Next to the beach is the marina where there are a whole range of day trips available - take a boat to admire the pods of dolphins and whales or take a trip around the coast to admire the stunning cliffs at Los Gigantes. Even venture to one of the next islands!
Palm fringed promenades feature all along the coast flanking both resorts, many of which have plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and bars.

Parts of Los Cristianos can be hilly. However, this is the more prestigious part of the resort, with pretty complexes and lovely views.

Whilst everywhere in Los Cristianos is within walking distance, for those who prefer to take it easy on your holiday, there are plenty of taxi ranks scattered around the resort.
One of the most popular complexes on the Tenerife Holiday Homes' books, is the lovely one of El Mirador. As you can see, this is ideally located at the bottom of the hill so is perfect for walking along the flat into the resort centre - with no huge slope to climb back up again.

There is always plenty to do in either Los Cristianos or Las Americas these resorts and in no way could anyone claim to be bored.
In Las Americas, the Sky Park and Water Park with it's fantastic Dolphin show is a big favourite with youngsters and adults alike, whilst you shoppers can get lost amongst the many commercial centres the resort holds.
